Activity tags
Similar activities used to be told apart only by the title — urgent, client, or type of work lived in the name or in someone’s head. A tag marks the card without stretching the title.
The tag belongs to the account: what you create on one project is available on the others. Highlighting a tag makes it show on the list and on the board, so the team recognizes the kind of work without opening the card.
Where to find it
Activity modal with two tags, one highlighted
Projects > Activities — open the activity (click the row or the ⋮ menu → Open details). In the modal, the field is Tags. On the board, the same field is on the card.
Who can edit the activity depends on the project permission. The administrator and the project manager always can.
How to create and choose
- Open the activity.
- Under Tags, type the name. If the tag already exists on the account, pick it from the list. If it does not, create it with the name you typed.
- For the team to see it at a glance, highlight that tag. It shows in evidence on the list and on the board.
- Remove highlight takes the evidence away without removing the tag from the card.
- Edit tag renames it for the whole account. Delete tag removes it from the catalog — the screen asks you to confirm.
Use short names the team already says (“Urgent”, “Client X”, “Review”). Do not copy the activity title.
When to use — and when not to
Use for a cut that crosses columns: priority, client, or type of delivery. The board stays organized by stage; the tag says what that card is.
Do not use it instead of a Kanban column. A column is a stage. A tag is a mark.
Do not use it instead of a catalog task. The task classifies the hour on the time entry. The tag classifies the card.
The color of the column, the project, and the task is a different control — see how to use the Kanban board. The color bar on a highlighted card comes from the highlighted tag, not from the column color.
