Attachments and comments on activities
Proposal file in email, agreement in WhatsApp, card in Rabbiit with only a title: whoever picks up the activity halfway through cannot find the context. Attachments and comments exist so the file and the conversation about that work stay in the same place as the activity.
In the list and on the kanban, an indicator shows which cards already have an attachment or a comment. You can mention someone with @ when that person needs to see the agreement — without opening another channel “just to let them know”.
Who it is for
Project activities list
Whoever executes — drops the file (brief, screenshot, client spreadsheet) on the card and comments on what changed. Tomorrow, or a colleague on the next shift, opens the activity and continues. The member’s scope (without being a manager) is in how to join an activity.
Project manager — follows up on the card, not in email. Sees on the board which activities already have material and which are still “empty”.
Internal client / another area — if the person is a project member, the context is in Rabbiit. Avoids the wrong file version circulating.
Administrator / project manager — enables or restricts Comment in the project activity permissions. Without that action, the member does not discuss on the card.
Where to find it
Activity modal, with comments and attachments on the card
Open the project in Projects > Activities, then the activity. Attaching and commenting happen on the card itself — the list and the board only show that it already exists.
How to attach
- Open the activity where the file belongs (the deliverable, not a generic project card).
- Attach the file in the same place as the work.
- In the list or on the kanban, check the indicator: the team sees which cards already have material without opening them one by one.
Attach the version that is valid to execute now. An endless history of ten PDFs with the same name usually confuses more than it helps — agree with the team whether the new version replaces the previous one.
How to comment and mention
- Write in the comment the agreement that would otherwise go to chat (“the client asked to cut scope B”).
- Use @ to call whoever needs to see it — the right person, not the whole group.
- The indicator in the list and on the board shows which activities already have a conversation.
A comment does not replace time entry. Hours go in time logging or the timesheet. The comment explains the why of the work.
When to use
Use when the card needs the file or the decision for the next person to work.
Do not use the card as a dead archive for the whole company. Account documents (contract, policy) belong where the team already keeps them; Rabbiit stores what is of this activity.
Do not use a comment to “approve the hours week”. That is submit and approve the week — a different flow, with status and email.
What gets easier
Whoever opens the activity finds the file and the agreement without hunting through another channel. The board shows which cards already have complete context. Fewer “send me the screenshot again”.
